At Timbertots, we focus on each child’s unique learning style by adopting the Reggio Emilia approach. We believe in mutual respect, listening, and discussion, and teach children to resolve their own conflicts. We work with parents to support their child’s learning, as we believe this leads to success.
Our child-led curriculum is challenging, allowing for extended time on projects or areas of interest. Documentation, such as photos and videos, helps us better understand how children learn and celebrate their progress. We consider ourselves to be an extended family of yours.
At Timbertots, we believe the environment is crucial for learning and refer to it as “The Third Teacher”. Our environment is thoughtfully designed to promote independent learning and is constantly evolving based on children’s interests, project work, or special events. Children have the space and resources to work on long-term projects, such as creating a wildlife area or building a castle as part of storytelling. We strive to create a beautiful, natural environment with objects and activities that encourage extended and open-ended exploration and play.
At Timbertots, we prioritize communication with parents and provide regular updates on their child’s day, monthly observations, and milestones. We also offer parent events and surveys to gather feedback and improve our services.
We believe in open dialogue and encourage parents to reach out to us at any time through various channels, including email, phone, and live chat. We take parent feedback seriously and involve them in the improvement process to ensure their satisfaction.
